Skating in Marin
Tuesday evenings!
SKATING NOW!

My apologies for being tardy in getting the web-site updated with the 2010 schedule. We are all busy, right, so I'll spare everyone on the details of my own hectic life other than mention that starting a Y2K consulting business in 2009 was probably not wise. I blame the economic downturn and hope the business rebounds in the coming months.

Luckily for us all, super-skater Kernan has grabbed the helm of the Marin Skate and using this thing the kids call "the internet" and "e-mail", he now sends out weekly updates as to where and when to meet each week. If you wish to be included on the e-mail chain, please contact me here.

Otherwise, here is my best guess at the schedule for the next couple weeks.

Word:
We're a casual group of people with diverse backgrounds who enjoy skating, company, conversation and getting together for a meal and drinks afterwards. Our skates tend to be more social than competitive, 6 to 9 miles and 1 to 2 hours in length. You will get a good workout and can push as hard as you like. There are some technical sections on each route that involve hills, but can be avoided with alternate routes.

We were featured in the Marin IJ last summer. A very nice write-up by our friend Rick Polito who really captured the spirit of our group. Does this kind of social exercise interest you? If so, then come join us.
